Who we are
DotsWatch (“we”, “us”) operates https://dotswatch.pages.dev. You can reach us at editors [at] dotswatch.net. We are the controller for the limited data described below.
What we collect
- Server and hosting logs. Our host processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Our pages are served as pre-generated static files.
- Advertising data. When display advertising is enabled, third-party ad vendors — principally Google — may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads.
- Analytics. If analytics are enabled, we use privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement of page views and referrers. We do not attempt to identify individual readers.
- Email. If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to handle it and to document corrections.
We do not ask for accounts, we do not sell personal information, and we do not run cross-site tracking of our own.
Cookies and third-party advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

- Legitimate interests — serving a static website, securing it, and measuring aggregate traffic.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Under California law you may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected and request deletion; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising outside of the advertising cookies described above, which you can control through the opt-outs listed above. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed at children.
Data retention
Hosting logs are retained by our provider for a short operational window (typically no more than 30 days). Correspondence is retained for up to 24 months. Advertiser cookies are controlled by those third parties under their own retention policies.
International transfers
Our site is delivered through a global content delivery network, and advertising vendors operate internationally. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, the relevant vendor relies on its own transfer safeguards.
